M. Lillie Plowman

Mary Lillie Plowman, daughter of Henry and Lena Weiss Ploss, was born September 30, 1898 in Davis County Southwest of Selma and departed this life the afternoon of Saturday, November 16, 1985 at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center, Keosauqua, at the age of 87.

On February 4, 1920 she married Noble E. Plowman of Eldon. They farmed south of Douds. Mr. Plowman died in 1980.

Surviving are two sisters, Anna Plowman and Agness Parsons, both of Douds, four nephews and a niece. A brother, Fred Ploss, preceded her in death.

She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Eldon, where the service was held Tuesday, November 19, 1985 at 10:30 A.M., with Rev. Leonard Gottemoller officiating. Interment was in the Calvary section of Eldon Cemetery. A Christian Wake service was held Monday evening at 7:30 at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds.
