Marie Roberts

CANTRIL - Former Cantril resident Marie Roberts, 85, of Knoxville died Dec. 30, 1985, in Knoxville.

She was born Feb. 3, 1900, in Van Buren County to Frank and Rose Saar Roberts. She lived most of her life in Cantril and was a member of the Cantril United Methodist Church. She worked at the telephone office for many years and had lived the past 10 years in Knoxville.

She is survived by a brother, Craig Roberts of Memphis, Mo.; and a sister, Ruth Carruthers of Fort Myers, Fla.

Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cantril, the Rev. Charles Butler officiating.

Williams Funeral Home, Knoxville, is in charge of arrangements.
