Merle A. Russell

Merle A. Russell, 53, former resident of Birmingham, died suddenly Sept. 18, 1985 at Albuquerque, N.M., where services were held.

Born May 14, 1932, at Douds, he was the son of John and Agnes Russell. He graduated from Birmingham High School and the University of Iowa where he earned his degree in electrical engineering. He was associated with the Rand Sperry Corp. at Albuquerque.

Survivors include his widow Konnie; three daughters, Patty, Susie and Annie, all attending college or employed in Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, John H.., Orlando, Fla., and William E. Baton Rouge, La.; and his mother Agnes Russell Harvey, Rockville, Ind.

Russell was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Richard Russell, former resident of Fairfield.
