JOEL W. CARRICO

Joel W. Carrico, 30, son of Wayne and Donna Snyder Carrico, was born November 20, 1954 in Keosauqua and died October 19, 1985 at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua. He had been ill several with kidney trouble.

He graduated from Van Buren High School in 1973 and had been employed at Barker Products Co., Keosauqua until becoming disabled. He was a member of the Stockport Fire Department.

He married Carolyn Jarvis May 5, 1980 at her parents' home in Troy. She survives along with four sons, Jason, Joey, Sean, and Timothy. Also surviving are his parents of Stockport, three sisters, Doneen Coffin, Stockport, Joan Turner, Fairfield, and Darla Smeltser, Burlington, his grandfather, Ora Carrico, Garden Grove, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 22, 1985 at 11 a.m. at the Stockport Christian Church, with Rev. Robert Butt, pastor, officiating. The body was cremated. A memorial was established for the Kidney Foundation. Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua.
