Mildred Proctor

Mildred P. Proctor, 86, of 514 S. Lillian died at 5:33 a.m. Dec. 3, 1985, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.

She was born Sept. 10, 1899, in Davis County to Charles and Joda Demar Huff. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She married Ernest D. Proctor on Aug. 7, 1921, in Drakesville. He died in 1973.

She is survived by two sons, Richard E. of Redwood City, Calif., and James W. of Ottumwa; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Huff of Milton and Harlan Huff of Virginia; and two sisters, Edith Huber of Blakesburg and LaRue Abernathy of Ottumwa.

The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Johnson Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Gerald Ogden of Finley Avenue Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Davis County.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at Johnson Funeral Chapel. The family will be at the funeral chapel from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday.

A memorial has been established to the Wesley Chapel Cemetery Association.
