Sherman T. Colyer

Funeral services were at 10 a.m., May 20, 1985 at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Donnellson, for Sherman T. Colyer. The Rev. Paul Colyer officiated at the services. Graveside rites were at 3 this afternoon in Elmer cemetery, Elmer, Mo.

Mr. Colyer, 78, of Fort Madison, died at 7:20 p.m., Friday, May 17, in the Fort Madison Community Hospital.

He was born March 11, 1907, in Stratford, Tex. He had been employed by the Santa Fe Railroad and the W.A. Sheaffer Pen Co. He was a member of the Pentecostal Assembly of God church.

On March 31, 1931, at Elmer, Mo., he married Ruby Warren, who preceded him in death in 1978.

He is survived by two sons, Basil of Fort Madison and Murel of Farmington; a sister, Mary Jo Johnson of Green City, Mo. and 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by seven brothers, three sisters and a grandchild. His parents were John and Maggie Fisher Colyer.

A memorial was established with the Pentecostal Assembly of God Church.
