CANTRIL - Paul G. Cox, 91, of Cantril died at 5:45 a.m. Dec. 22, 1985, at the Scotland County Nursing HOme in Memphis, Mo.
He was born Nov. 3, 1894, to M.H. and Della Welch Cox. On Oct. 16, 1916. He attended the Cantril United Methodist Church and was a 50 year member of the Apollo Lodge AF&AM in Cantril, the Cantril Lions Club, and other civic organizations. He married Neva Creath in Milton. They lived in the Cantril area and retired to Cantril after farming several years.
He is survived by a son, James of Bethalto, Ill.; a daughter, Jeanne Stevens of Fort Collins, Colo.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Neva, in 1979.
The service will at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Cantril United Methodist Church, the Rev. Charles Butler officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril.
Visitation is open at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.
Memorials may be left at the funeral home.
