Virgil A. Thon

DONNELSON - Virgil A. Thon, 75, died at 6:20 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at his home on Farmington Rt. 1.

He was born Dec. 14, 1909, at Montrose, to Fred and Hattie Brewer Thon. He married Helen Downey Sept. 2, 1933, in Keokuk.

Mr. Thon was a retired electrician. He was a member of the Argyle Presbyterian Church.

Surviving: His wife; two daughters, Karen Everett, Omaha, Neb., and Connie Schmitz, Farmington Rt. 1; a brother, Harold Thon, Nampa, Idaho; and three grandchildren.

Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hofbauer Funeral Home, the Rev. James Fyfe; Charleston Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
