ROY E. HOLLAND

Roy E. Holland, 82, of rural Farmington died at 9:10 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 1985 at his home.

Mr. Holland was born November 18, 1902 at Mt. Hamill. A retired farmer, he had lived for 60 years on the same farm in the Sharon community. He was a member of the Sharon Presbyterian Church.

On January 27, 1934, at Fort Madison, he married Dorothy Anthony, who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Raymond and Roger, both of Farmington and Charles of Fort Madison; a daughter, Mrs. Leslie (Shirley) Cramer of Bedford, Texas; a brother, Willis Holland of Fort Madison; a sister, Ruth Crull, also of Fort Madison and 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother. His parents were Charles Bert and Cora Reid Holland.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 4 at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Donnellson with the Rev. Kenneth Harden officiating. Burial was in Sharon cemetery.

A memorial is being established with the Farmington EMT unit. Contributions may be made at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Donnellson.
