DWAYNE E. GROVES

Dwayne E. Groves, son of Willie E. and Ruth Mills Groves, was born September 18, 1922 at Milton and departed this life Thursday, September 26, 1985 at his home in Whittier, California at the age of 63.

He grew up and went to school in Milton and attended the Milton and attended the Milton Christian Church.

He owned and operated Deal Hardware & Supply Co. in Santa Fe Springs, California, a distributor of commercial fasteners.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in Burma.

Surviving are his wife, Ruby; two daughters, Nancy Morales and Susan Groves; his mother; four grandchildren; and a sister, Maxine Higbee, all of Whittier and a brother, Dwight of Bellflower, California.

Graveside services were held Saturday, October 5, 1985 at 1 p.m. at Sunnyside Cemetery, Milton, with Rev. Ed Pool of the Milton Christian Church officiating. Russell-Strait American Legion Post of Milton provided military honors. Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua was in charge of arrangements.
