Ailene Wimmer

Ailene Wimmer, 68, of 111 S. College died at 4:30 a.m. Sept. 12, 1985, at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

She was born July 27, 1917, in Seattle to Harold and Edith Hall. A resident of Ottumwa since 1951, she was an employee of the Koffee Cup Restaurant, retiring in 1980. She was a member of Eagles 114 Auxiliary and O.B. Nelson Post 3 of the American Legion Auxiliary. She married Harry T. Wimmer on April 26, 1952.

She is survived by her husband; four sons, Larry Wimmer of Douds, Bob Mistretta of Aberdene, Wash., and Jerry and David Mistretta of Plymouth, Calif.; three grandsons; and a sister, Florence Teufel of Anchorage.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Reece Funeral Home, the Rev. Wayne Gjerde of Wesley United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Canny, Glen and Evert Hart, Don Hooten, LeRoy Sellers and Keith Worrell.

The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8 p.m. today.

A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society, in care of Florene DeBuhr of 3 Court Lane, Ottumwa.
