WAYNE H. THOMAS

Wayne H. Thomas, 59, died Sunday, March 17, 1985 at his home in Glenside, Pennsylvania. He had been ill several months.

Born August 5, 1925 in Van Buren County, Iowa, where he spent his childhood, he was the son of Harvey and Eliza Cole Thomas. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was an electrician.

Wayne was married to Julie Culp, December 18, 1948.

Surviving are his wife, Julie; two sons, John P. and Wayne A.; one step-son; four grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth of Mt. Pleasant, Stanley L. of Fruita, Colorado, and Sherman E. of Folsom, California; four sisters, Esther Ewing of Bonaparte, Lena Kreiss of Mt. Pleasant, Josephine Guarnery of St. Louis, Missouri and Gladys Haynes of Wentzville, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Roy, one step-son and one grandson.

He was cremated and his ashes returned to Iowa. A memorial service will be held March 30, 1985 at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Keosauqua with the Rev. Dennis A. Fox officiating.
