Pearl K. Helling

FT. MADISON - Pearl K. Helling, 79, of Rt. 1 Ft. Madison, died at 12:31 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, at her home. She had been ill about six months.

She was born March 29, 1906, in Milton, to Morris and Laura Taylor Brown. She married Paul Helling July 7, 1924, in Ft. Madison.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Ft. Madison, the Altar and Rosary Society of the church, Ft. Madison Senior Citizens, and the National Association of Retired Railway Employees.

Surviving: Her husband, Paul; five sons, Richard, New Hampton, Eugene , Kansas City, Mo., Edwin and Stanley, both of Ft. Madison, and Joe, Apopka, Fla.; 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Hazel Feldman, Ft. Madison.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday, St. Mary Catholic Church, the Rev. Robert McAleer; Gethsemane Cemetery. A combined Altar and Rosary Society and parish rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at King-Lynk Funeral Home, Ft. Madison. A memorial has been established to St. Mary Parish Center building fund.
