Everett Anthony

Everett Anthony, 79, of Farmington, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 1985, at 11:15 a.m. at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua.

Born Aug. 6, 1905 in Clark County, Missouri, he was the son of Otto and Ella McMillin Anthony.

He married Vera Best who preceded him in death. He later married Myrtle Wixom who also preceded him in death.

he spent most of his life in the Farmington area and was a truck hauler.

Surviving are a son, Allan Anthony of Farmington; two step-daughters, Virginia Gray of Bonaparte and Mrs. Merrill (Shirley) Turner of Farmington; two step-sons, Robert and Clarence Wixom, both of Bonaparte, 25 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, wives, one daughter, one son and one brother.

The funeral was held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington. Burial was in the Greenglade Cemetery, Farmington. The Rev. James Austin officiate.
