Charles L. Williams

Charles Lewis Williams, son of Archibald and Amelia Randall Williams, was born June 26, 1904 at Mount Zion and departed this life the evening of Wednesday, October 3, 1984 at Sunnyslope Care Center, Ottumwa, at the age of 80.

he spent his youth in Van Buren County and most of his adult life in Ottumwa, where he was employed by John Morrell & Co. He lived for a time in Arizona. On June 7, 1930 he married Grace Hickle in Cedar Rapids. She died in 1981. Also preceding him in death were a brother and two sisters.

Remaining to cherish his memory are a brother, Joe of Keosauqua, two sisters, Jennie Teeter of Ottumwa and Florence Sellers in Wisconsin, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 9, 1984 at 10 A.M. at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, with Rev. Thomas Baxter officiating. Interment was in Forbes Cemetery north of Keosauqua.
