Goldie M. Horn

Goldie Mae Horn, daughter of John and Minnie McCall Ford, was born March 14, 1896 at Winchester, Van Buren County, and died the afternoon of Sunday, July 29, 1984 at Fort Madison Community Hospital in Fort Madison.

On Nov. 20, 1915 she married Brace Horn at Ottumwa. They farmed near Libertyville and later lived many years and Birmingham. Mr. Horn died in 1951. Three brothers, Clarence, Roy and Gene Ford and a sister, Bess Nelson also preceded her in death.

Remaining are a son, Cecil and his wife Pauline of Cedar Rapids, a daughter, Audrey Lewis and her husband Marion of Montrose, six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Horn was a member of the Birmingham Presbyterian Church and was active in its ladies society when she lived in Birmingham.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 31, 1984 at 2 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, with Rev. Charles McCracken of her church officiating. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery, Birmingham.
