Donald L. Stott, of near Azen, age 53, passed away at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 1983, at the Davis County Hospital at Bloomfield. He was born April 14, 1930, in Scotland County, Mo., the son of Laurence and Opal Eichelbergar Stott.
He was united in marriage to Marian Hemphill on Jan. 24, 1974, in Kirksville, Mo.
He is survived by his wife, Marian; his mother, Opal Thomas, Memphis, Mo.; one son, Randy Stott of Keokuk, Iowa; two daughters, Lucretia Green of Memphis, mo. and Patricia Runge, Keokuk, Iowa; two step-daughters, Debra Ann Byrn, Downing, Mo., and Carol Lee Burrus of Edina, Mo., two brothers, Lavern Stott, Memphis, Mo., and Leland Stott of Cantril, one sister, Neva Cain, Memphis, Mo.; two aunts, Mrs. Vern Robinson and Mrs. Johnny Brewer, both of Keosauqua; nine grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
He was a member of the Prairie View United Methodist Church.
funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 2, 1984, in the Payne-Gerth Chapel, Memphis.
