Aletha Johnson Burke was born on Feb. 17, 1901 and passed away at 3:30 on Sat., May 28, 1983 in Iowa City Hospital. She was born at Stockport, youngest daughter of Richard and Ann Miller Johnson. She was married to Andy Burke and lived in Keokuk. They were the parents of a baby girl, wo passed away at the age of two years, also two sons Pat and Paul, both of San Diego, Calif. Aletha was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers, Floyd, Manford and Wade Johnson. She is survived by her two sons and their wives and nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two sisters, Maud Smith of Stockport and Cleola Miller of Iowa City and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services were held Wednesday, June 1, at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Keokuk. Burial in the National Cemetery at Keokuk.
