BESSIE MAE GARDNER

Mrs. Bessie Mae Gardner, 87, of Burlington, died Friday, March 4, 1982, while visiting her son in San Diego, California.

She was born at Fairfield, January 2, 1896, to John and Mary McIntyre Coats. She married Thomas Gardner in 1912.

Surviving: son Delbert, San Diego; two sisters, Mary Hoff, El Segundo, California, and Delia Lawson, Burlington; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Committal was at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Bonaparte Cemetery with the Rev. James Rozendaal officiating. King-Lynk Funeral Home, Fort Madison was in charge of arrangements.
