Robert E. Poole

Robert E. Poole, age 57, of Stockport passed away Thursday, Feb. 10, 1983, at the University Hospital in Iowa City.

He was born in Clark County, Mo., July 13, 1925, the son of Bruce B. and Huldah Weller Poole. He was married June 7, 1947 at Stockport to Dorothy Morris, who survives as well as two sons, Dr. Mike Poole of LaGrande, Oregon and Kirby Poole of Ames; two daughters, Marsha Loeffler of Birmingham and Shelley Huffman of Burlington; his step-mother, Mary Poole of Stockport and two step-brothers, Jack Heston of Gulfport, Miss., and Bud Heston of Stockport and a step-sister, Julie Anderson of Stockport.

Mr. Poole was a veteran of WWII and had barbered for over 30 years.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 13, 1983 at the Stockport Christian Church with Rev. Richard Devore officiating. Interment was in Spencer Cemetery.

A memorial was established and may be left at the Burch Funeral Home in Birmingham.
