Mabel Pittman Mounce

Friends have received word from relatives that Mabel Pittman Mounce passed away in Seattle, Wash. the first of the year. She and her husband, Rex, were raised in Van Buren County and graduated from Keosauqua High School.

Many have enjoyed Mabel's impressions and memories of Van Buren County from 1900 through 1922. Her book titled "Horseshoe Bend" and several area residents have copies.
