NANCY LEE CAVINESS
Nancy Lee Caviness, daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Carlisle Stone, was born December 3, 1949 in Fairfield and lost her life in a highway accident near Douds on Sunday, October 3, 1982. She was 32.
On January 17, 1969, she married Robert Caviness at her parents home near Douds. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, William and Robert, both at home; her parents; two brothers, Raymond and David Stone; both of Douds; a sister, Betsy Stone of Douds; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Michael of Selma and Lonnie Stone, Sr. of Floris; great-grandmother Hildred Jones of Eldon; and nieces and nephews.
Nancy was a beautician and a member of the Douds Saddle Club and Pony Express Riders.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 6, 1982, at 11 a.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds with Rev. Walter Shuka officiating. Interment was in Iowaville Cemetery near Selma.
