GORDON BROOKHART

Services for Gordon S. Brookhart, 53, Fairfield High School principal who died Thursday night at a hospital in Fairfield after suffering a heart attack at his home, will be at 10 a.m. in the high school auditorium. He had been on the high school faculty for 21 years, first as assistant principal, then becoming principal in 1966. For 10 years previously, he taught and coached at Boone High School. He recently completed 10 years on the board of directors of the Iowa High School Boys Athletic Association. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; one son, one daughter, his mother, three grandchildren and one sister.

He was also a director of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Board of Crime Busters of Fairfield.

his wife, Marjorie Cornell was from the Bonaparte vicinity and graduated from Fort Madison High School.
