GUY J. CANNON

Guy J. Cannon, son of Fred and Josephine Garrett Cannon, was born May 23, 1899, at Smithshire, Illinois, and departed this life Saturday, February 27, 1982, at his home in Keosauqua at the age of 82. On May 5, 1930, he married Grace Burling at Mt. Pleasant.

Surviving are his wife; a sister, Bessie Icenogle of Smithshire, Illinois, four nieces, other relatives and friends. A sister, Nova Weaver, preceded him in death.

Guy farmed in Van Buren County and operated heavy equipment in road construction. He and Grace lived a number of years in Pittsburg and the past 15 years have lived in Keosauqua.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 1, 1982, at 1:30 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with Rev. Louise Knupp officiating. Interment was in Fellows Cemetery at Keosauqua.
