MAUDE E. ANDERSON

Maude E. Anderson, 65, Bonaparte, died at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 22, at the Klein unit of the Burlington Medical Center.

She was born June 1, 1916 in Johnson County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Adam and Lillie Rule Russell. She had lived on the same farm near Bonaparte for 40 years. She was a member of the Harrisburg Baptist Church near Bonaparte. She was a Past Matron of Magnolia Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, a former Mother Advisor of the Order of Rainbow Girls, a member of Bonaparte Lionels, and a former postal clerk in Bonaparte.

On June 30, 1934, she was married to Fern O. "Pee Wee" Anderson, who survives.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Shirley Kinney of Des Moines, and Beverly Siekman of Burlington, and a son, Donald of Phoenix, Arizona. Nine grandchildren also survive, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 25th at the Harrisburg Baptist Church with the Revs. Levi Winfrey and Bob Buchanan officiating. Burial was in the Vale Cemetery near Bonaparte.

Eastern Star services were held Friday evening, July 24th at the Hofbauer Funeral Home for family and friends.

A memorial has been established for the Bonaparte Order of Eastern Star, Magnolia Chapter and Order of Rainbow Girls, Bonaparte.
