HELEN ASHMEAD

Helen G. Ashmead, 77, of Bloomfield died at Davis Co. Hospital at 7:10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, 1981.

She was the daughter of Ellsworth and Bertha Miller Hill, born in Davis County on February 26, 1904. She was a member of the Bloomfield Open Bible Church. She married Fred Ashmead in Bloomfield on March 22, 1924.

She is survived by her husband a daughter, Bernice King of Ottumwa; sons Stuart of Rantoul, Ill., Benson of Des Moines and Del of Bloomfield; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. sisters Henrietta Ensminger of Troy and Dorothy Hutchings of Des Moines; and brothers Herbert Hill of Bloomfield and Harlan Hill of Fairfield.

She was a sister of the late Martha Wellborn of Milton.
