Obituary
CLYDE DOWNINGClyde Leslie Downing, 88, of Milton, Iowa died at 8:44 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22, 1981 at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, at Keosauqua.
He was born northeast of Bloomfield, Iowa in May 14, 1893 and married Lucretia May Frysinger on July 7, 1914 in Ingersoll, Okla.
They lived in the Milton-Cantril area for the past 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven sisters, three brothers and one daughter, Hildegarde Mills.
Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Darline Mulherin of Milton and one son, Clyde Vernon of Glendale Heights, Ill., three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services were held at the Christian Church in Milton and interment in the Dunnville Cemetery, on Friday, Sept. 25, 1981.
