GEORGE M. PRUNTY

Funeral services for a former Farmington resident, George M. Prunty, of Colorado Springs, Colo. were held at the Evergreen Funeral Home Chapel, Colorado Springs, on Nov. 22 with the Rev. Harvey Martz officiating. The body was cremated and burial was at the Fairview cemetery Nov. 25.

George Prunty, 76, died November 19, 1980 at a hospital in Colorado Springs.

He was born Feb. 17, 1904 in Farmington, Iowa. He has been a resident of Colorado Springs since 1951.

He married Delphia Edblad of Marcus on March 28, 1932 in Cleghorn, Iowa. He was a retired automobile mechanic. Mr. Prunty was a member of the Cleghorn Christian church.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Janice Shoemaker and Georgina Howells; a sister, Esther Prunty, all of Colorado Springs; a brother, Clyde Prunty, Walnut Grove, Mo.; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elias and Anna Prunty, and three brothers, Lawrence Frank and Maurice.
