BEN NELSON
Ben Nelson, 91, Sequim, Washington, formerly of Birmingham died Feb. 19 in Sequim.
The son of Meldon and Anna Anderson Nelson, he was born January 23, 1890 at Birmingham. He served with the 88th Division in France during WW I. After his return home to Birmingham, he was a rural mail carrier for 30 years.
In 1938 he married Gertrude Duke at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. She survives.
After his retirement, the couple moved to Sequim, Wash. to make their home.
He is survived by two sisters, Beatrice Nelson and Rosetta Nelson, both of Joplin, Mo., several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
