MARION MILES

Marion Otto Miles, 80, of Milton Route 1 died April 29, 1981 at 5:30 p.m. at University Hospitals, Iowa City, Ia.

He was born October 15, 1900 in Keosauqua to George and Lucy Garrett Miles. He lived most of his life in Van Buren and Jefferson counties. He was a plumber for several years at Pierson and Pierson Plumbing and Heating in Fairfield. He retired as a steamfitter at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in Burlington.

Survivors: sons, Marvin E. of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Ronald of San Antonio, Texas; daughters Lorraine Calhoon of Eastrop, La. and Sally Ballinger of Salt Lake City, Utah, a stepson, Nathan Hanks of Lineville; 12 grandchildren, 12 stepgrandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three stepgreatgrandchildren; and a sister, Hazel Webb of Phoenix, Arizona.

Services were held Monday, May 4, 1981 at 1 p.m. at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, the Rev. George Koch officiating. Burial was in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa.
