HARRY A. MOELLER

Harry A. Moeller, 80, of Salem, Iowa, died suddenly February 14, 1981, at 12:45 p.m., at Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.

Mr. Moeller was a life long resident of Henry and Lee Counties, born in St. Paul on July21, 1900 to the late Gerhard T. and Margaret Vorwalt Moeller.

On November 20, 1929 he was married to Genevieve Pauly at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church at Harper, Iowa. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church at Houghton and the Holy Name Society. He belonged to the Senior Citizens of Salem, and was a retired farmer.

Mr. Moeller is survived by his wife; one son, Herbert J. Moeller, Winfield; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Winifred) Fritz of Brighton, Mrs. Floyd (Rose Marie) Wickenkamp of Hedrick, and Mrs. Francis (Kathleen) Spiesz of Farmington; one brother, Alphonse Moeller, Lockridge; four sisters, Mrs. Frank Harvey, West Point, Mrs. Louis Freesmeier, West Point, Mrs. Dorothy Meyer, Jerseyville, Ill., and Mrs. Margaret Besser of Ft. Madison. Eighteen grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.

He was preceeded in death by one son, three brothers and one grandson

The body was taken to the Link Funeral Home where rosaries were recited Sunday at 8:00 p.m., Monday at 3:00 p.m. and p.m. by the Holy Name Society. Funeral services were held Tuesday February 17 at 11:00 a.m. in St. John's Church, Houghton with the Rev. Albert Goetzman officiating. Burial was in St. John's cemetery, Houghton. A memorial was established.

Pallbearers were Joe Fritz, Tony Fritz, Greg Fritz, Charles Fritz, Leon Wickenkamp and Lester Wickenkamp, all grandsons of Mr. Moeller.
