No Relative Of "Nick" Crosson Found

When Edward E. "Nick" Crosson died December 19, 1981, no one could find a single relative to notify.

Crosson, 86, a former Eddyville resdient, had been a residents at the Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua almost since it opened in the fall of 1972. Although he rarely had visitors, he was popular with the staff. Both the nursing home staff and Pedrick Funeral home made every effort to locate two nephews, however, they were not successful at this time.

But Crosson was not forgotten in death. About 3:30 P.M. Tuesday a group of 15 staff members from the nursing home went to the funeral home to pay their respects. They took up a collection to buy a spray of flowers for their friend Nick's simple casket.

He was bured(err) December 23 in Highland Cemetery in Eddyville next to his wife, Luella, who died in 1965.
