DOROTHY PITTMAN EDWARDS

Services were held September 2, 1981 at the Merle hay Funeral Home for Dorothy M. Edwards, 74, of 3111 Fifty-second St., who died Monday, Aug. 31, 1981 at Luther Park Health Center, 1555 Hull Ave., of a heart ailment. Burial was in Resthaven Cemetery.

Born in Keosauqua, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Pittman, Mrs. Edwards lived in Des Moines 62 years. She was a retired secretary for the Iowa State Fair Board and a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, George, a daughter, Shirley J. Cutis of Des Moines, a son, Jerry L. of La Grange, Ill.; a sister, Mable Mounce of Seattle, Wash.; a brother, Rolla Barker of Denver, Colo., five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
