DIES AFTER CYCLE INJURIES

Forrest Winn, 59, of Milton, died Thursday, June 1, at Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield as the result of injuries suffered in a motorcycle - pickup truck accident May 21.

The accident occurred on Highway 2 south of Milton at 12:50 p.m. Authorities said Winn, riding the motorcycle, made a U-turn and his cycle struck the truck driven by Roland Stein, 50, of Ft. Madison.

Forrest William Winn, son of Walter Charles and Clara Wilson Winn, was born October 21, 1912, near Milton and departed this life Thursday, June 1, 1972, at the Davis County Hospital, at age of 59 years, 7 months and 11 days.

He spent his life in Milton community where he was a carpenter and cabinet maker.

Forrest was married at Keosauqua, Iowa on June 12, 1938 to Paulene Padgett.

Surviving are his widow and three children: Joe Dean Winn of U.S. Air Force, stationed in Taiwan (Formosa); Mrs. Ronald (Kay) W. Burroughs of Silvis, Illinois; William Fredrick (Bill) Winn of Milton; a daughter-in-law Cheryl Winn and a son-in-law Ronald Burroughs; four grand children Brenda Diane Winn and Joe Dean Winn, jr.; Bobbi Lynn and Brian Scott Burroughs; two sisters Mrs. Edith Kreiss of Keosauqua, Mrs. Dorothy Dickeson of Saugus, California; a mother-in-law Mrs. Mabel Padgett of Milton.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held in Grace United Methodist Church on Sunday (aftrnoon), June 4, at 2:30 P.M., with Rev. Dale Church officiating. Interment was in Lebanon Cemetery.
