Mary Wilson

Mary Bell Wilson, youngest child of Robert Pollock Bell and Isabel Bonar Bell, was born on a farm north of Milton Feb. 23, 1885 and died suddenly in her home in Bloomfield Sunday evening, March 8, 1970 at the age of 85 years and 13 days.

She received her elementary education in the Hopewell School near her home. She graduated from the Milton High School in 1902. She and a brother helped her parents on the farm until her marriage.

On Jan. 29, 1908, she was united in marriage to Paul C. Wilson at her home near Milton; to this union were born three sons, Robert, Lloyd and Carl. They lived on a farm northeast of Milton. In later years they retired from the farm to make their home for a time in Cantril.

When her husband died in 1951, Mrs. Wilson bought a home in Bloomfield, where she lived an active life until her death.

She was a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church, the Women's Society of Christian Service and belonged to the Ethel Circle, the Cosmo Club and the Civic League.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three sisters; two brothers; and one son, Robert.
