HOLLIS VANCE

Hollis B. Vance, 74, of Milton died at 9:51 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, 1978 at Davis County Hospital, Bloomfield, Iowa.

He was born May 2, 1904, in Van Buren County to Wyatt W. and Dora Mae Lanzby Vance. A lifelong resident of Van Buren County, he was a retired farmer. He was a member of Milton Christian Church and Van Buren County Farm Bureau. He married Elma D. Price Nov. 28, 1926, at Keosauqua.

Survivors. his wife; a son, Wyatt W of Milton; daughters D. Darlene Rowe of Nashau, N.H., J. Joan Ogden of Fairfield and Carolyn C. Burrell of Milwaukee, Wisc.; 14 grandchildren; a sister, Keo Anderson of Cantril; and a brother, Earl Vance of Stevensville, Mont.

Services 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 22, 1978 at Milton United Methodist Church, the Rev. Dick Falletti officiating. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.

The casket was taken from Wagler Funeral Home to the church at noon Wednesday, Nov. 22, 1978 and was closed at the beginning of the service.
