Eva Trachsel

Eva Trachsel, 91, died January 1 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Everett Ensminger at Boswell, Ind.

She was born March 24, 1869 at Springfield, Ia., the daughter of David and Temperance Ann Sanderson. She spent most of her life in Davis County and was a member of the Christian church.

She was married to Fernando Hargrove, who preceded her in death in 1891. To this union were born three children Mrs. Frank Hendricks of Keosauqua, Mrs. Will Hendricks of Bloomfield and Gifford Hargrove of Keosauqua. In 1896 she was married to Henry Trachsel, who died April 30, 1953. To this union six children, Herman Trachsel of Laramie, Wyo., Paul Trachsel of Milton, Ray Trachsel of Galesburg, Ill., Merle Trachsel of Chenoa, Ill., Mrs. Everett Ensminger of Boswell, Ind., and Earl Trachsel of Pulaski. She was also survived by one sister, Mrs. Frona Simmons of California, 17 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held January 3 at the Milton Christian church with Rev. Bruce Matthews officiating. Burial in the Pulaski cemetery.
