Emmett Canfield died Saturday, June 26 at the Van Buren County Hospital where he had been taken that morning. He married Sybil Price who preceed him in death. He later married Caddie Norman, who survives, as does one daughter, Mrs. Dora Smith of Cantril and one son, Max of Marshalltown, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The funeral was held Tuesday, June 29th at the United Methodist Church at 2 P.M., Rev. Herbert Demello officiating. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery.
