Arshel LyphoutGARRISON - Arshel Lyphout, 71, of rural Garrison, died of heart failure Saturday, November 15, 1986, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
The son of Camiel and Pharaielda Deprez Lyphout, he was born March 20, 1915, in Ladora. A lifelong farmer, Mr. Lyphout was a member of the Farm Bureau and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vinton.
He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Rachel) Cornette of rural Center Point and Mrs. Vernon (Selma) Brecht of Watkins; two brothers, Gentil Lyphout of rural Garrison and Henry Lyphout of Vinton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 18, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Vinton, with Father John Roskopf officiating. Interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, rural Vinton.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday at the Campbell-Russell Funeral Home. A public Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral Home.
