Wendell Kersten

WATERLOO - Wendell Kersten, 20, a former Dysart resident, died Monday in a Waterloo hospital following a three month illness.

He was born May 25, 1954 in Waterloo, a son of Ralph and Mary Lou Snider Kersten. He attended the River Hill School in Waterloo and the past one and one-half years was a resident of Handicap Village of Clear Lake.

Surviving are his parents of Waterloo; two brothers, Robert and Steven, at home; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kersten of Dysart and Mrs. Thelma Cooper of Salem, Mo.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church in Dysart, with the rev. Luther Peterson officiating, and burial will be in the Dysart Cemeteryu(err).

Overton Funeral Home in Dysart is in charge of arrangements.
