Ruth A. Kapfer

Ruth A. Kapfer, age 75, of the Greensburg Community, Rt. 1, Baring, Missouri, passed away 5:55 p.m., Jan. 27, 1986, in the Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Missouri.

The daughter of Herbert E. and Abigail Rice Kapfer, she was born March 10, 1910 in Scotland County, Missouri.

Miss Kapfer is survived by three brothers, Marvin Kapfer of Bloomfield, Iowa, Earl D. Kapfer and Max A. Kapfer, both of Baring, Missouri; one sister, Mrs. Stanley (Velma Irene) Adams of Arbela, Missouri; several nieces and nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew, Daniel Kapfer in 1971.

She was a life-long resident of the Greensburg community, except for a few months when she lived in Bloomfield, Iowa. She was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Jan. 31, 1986 in the Greensburg Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Deatrick and Rev. Freddie Sederburg officiating. Music provided by Guy Gardine, singing "I Won't Have To Cross Gordon Alone" and "Closer Walk With Thee" accompanied by Mrs. Ann Luther. Casket bearers were Thomas L. Kapfer, David Lee Kapfer, Vaughn Biggs, L.P. Mayfield, Stephen Ray Kapfer, Mark Aaron Kapfer, Joel Max Kapfer, Carl E. Kapfer and Ricky L. Martin. Burial was in the Greensburg Cemetery at Greensburg, Missouri. Funeral arrangements by Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel, Edina.
