Franklin Hill
BLOOMFIELD - Franklin Hill, 53, died at the Davis County Hospital at 9:05 a.m. today, after an extended illness.
He was the son of Ellsworth and Bertha Miller Hill, born in Davis County Aug. 4, 1916. He was a member of teh West Grove Methodist Church. He had been affiliated with Harper and Hill Grain Elevator. For the past three years he was employed by the city of Bloomfield. A World War II veteran, he was a past commander of the Legion Post in Bloomfield. He was a member of the Franklin Masonic Lodge and Order of Eastern Star in Bloomfield, the Kaaba Shrine in Davenport, and the Elks at Centerville.
Surviving are his widow, Kathleen; his mother, Mrs. Bertha Hill; two daughters, Pamela at home and Patricia Fender of Memphis, Mo.; a son, Mike of Arlington, Texas; and one grandson. Other survivors are four sisters, Helen Ashmead of Bloomfield, Henrietta Ensminger of Troy, Martha Wellborn of Milton and Dorothy Hutchings of Des Moines; and two brothers, Herbert S. of BLoomfield and Harlan M. of Eldon.
