Mary Elmina Megrath, daughter of Elizabeth and J.I.A. Megrath, was born January 16, 1859, at Lebanon Iowa, and passed away April 22, 1939, at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 6 days.

On October 30, 1879, she was united in marriage to J.J. Moore. To this union was born one daughter, May, who preceded her in death May 30, 1936. She is survived by her devoted husband; a granddaughter, Mrs. W.W. King; and one great granddaughter, Donna Maxine King.

She will be sadly missed by a number of other relatives and friends, old and young. Mrs. Moore united with the Presbyterian Church at Lebanon Iowa, in young womanhood and later transferred her membership to the first Presbyterian Church at Milton Iowa, of which she was ever a faithful and tireless worker.

She became a member of Chapter AD, P.E.O. Sisterhood in 1913, and remained an active member until her death.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon April 24, 1939, at the home, conducted by Dr. Eric Clitheroe of Parsons College, Fairfield Iowa.

Pallbearers were Lester Megrath, Burr Burchett, Hollis Moore, John Fisher, O.H. Leaverton and Wendell King. The body was laid to rest in the Milton Sunnyside cemetery.
