Gladys L. Gardner

Gladys LaVina Gardner, 85, Grundy Center, died July (1), 1990 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.

She was born March 1, 1905 at Milton to Henry and Lavin Campbell Cles.

She grew up and attended country school in Davis County and attended Troy High School.

She was united in marriage to Roy Gardner on April 24, 1924 in Missouri.

She was employed by J.C. Penney Company in Grundy Center for a number of years and then worked at Western Dressing until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1965; her parents; three sisters, Lora Cles, Lera Dellinger and Eula Sommers; and one brother, Harold Cles.

She is survived by one brother, Gerald Cles of Milton.

Funeral services were held July 14, 1990 at the Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home in Grundy Center. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church, Grundy Center.
