Ruth Garmon

PULASKI - Alta Ruth Garmon, 81, died at 3:55 a.m. Feb. 10, 1985, at Davis County Hospital.

She was born Oct. 8, 1903, in Davis County, to James Byron and Callie Henderson Morford. She was a lifetime resident of Davis County and was a member of Pulaski United Methodist Church. She married Joseph Garmon on Sept. 21, 1920, at Bloomfield. He died July 30, 1960.

She is survived by a daughter, Nellie Guinn of Milton; a daughter-in-law, Delores Garmon of Bloomfield; six grandchildren; and a brother, Arch Morford of North Liberty. She was preceded in death by a son, James.

Services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the Pulaski United Church, the Rev. Marilyn Butler officiating. Burial was in Pulaski Cemetery.

Wagler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

A memorial was established to her church.
