Nora Lee Gaffney

Nora Lee Gaffney, daughter of Henry and Sarah Hayes, was born Aug. 26, 1872, at Adelphia, Ohio, and passed away at the home of her son, Harold, in Ft. Madison Oct. 27, 1960, at the age of 88.

She was united in marriage July 23, 1893, to John Gaffney at Mt. Pulaski, Ill.

To this union were born eight children. They are Mrs. Frank Stuidy, Springfield, Ill., Mrs. Ronald hall, Rochester, Ill., Mrs. Harry McLeland of Stockport, Mrs. Elmer Bletzer of Milton, Ray of Stockton, Calif., Dean of Milton, and Harold of Ft. Madison. Claude died in 1918.

Mrs. Gaffney was preceded in death by her husband, one son, her parents, two sisters and two brothers.

She was a member of the Methodist church and a member of the Royal Neighbors for 53 years.

Funeral services were October 29 in Ft. Madison, conducted by Dr. Cooper. Interment was in the Oakhill cemetery, Buckhart, Ill.
