CLAIR E. ERZINGER

Clair E. Erzinger, 66, of 317 Lynn Ave. in Ames, formerly of Milton died at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames.

He was born April 28, 1908, at Tab, Ind., graduated from Milton High School and attended Iowa High School and attended Iowa State University.

He was a civil engineer with the Iowa Highway Commission for 40 years, and worked at Fairfield, Ottumwa, Council Bluffs and Ames.

An Army World War II veteran, he was a member of the Collegiate Presbyterian Church in Ames, Sigma Chi fraternity, Cyclone Club and the American Legion.

He married Bernice A. Stater in Ottumwa July 4, 1935. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Paul Sydnes of Huxley; his father, George; a brother, Monte; and a sister, Dorothy Sell, all of Ottumwa; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lilly Belle, one sister and one brother.

The service was Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Ames. Burial was in Ames Municipal Cemetery.
