Ina L. Douglas

Ina L. Douglas, 80, of Cantril, Iowa, passed away Friday, November 16, at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, in Keosauqua, Iowa.

She was born February 16, 1899, the daughter of John Ward and Sophia Hunsaker Ward.

In the late 20's she married Frank Douglas in Kirksville, Missouri. To this union were born four girls and 1 boy, Lucille, Sarena, Earl, Nellie and Mable.

They lived in the Iowa and North Missouri area until his death in 1967. After a short time in Memphis, she lived near her brothers, in Kirksville, until September 1976, at which time she moved into a trailer on her son's farm near Cantril.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, two brothers, and one daughter.

She is survived by two brothers, Ray of Chicago and Jess of Kirksville. Three married daughters, Lucille and Sarena of New York, Nellie of Davenport, Iowa, her son Earl and family of Cantril, Iowa; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in the Payne-Gerth Chapel, Memphis, Missouri, November 19, 1979, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Gerald Caughron officiated. Burial was in the Granger Cemetery, Granger, Missouri. Body bearers were friends.
