MRS. Baxter Dixon of 2201 Forty-sixth St. died Jan. 2 at Scottsdale, Ariz., and her body was flown back to Des Moines. Her husband, a wholesale meat distributor in Des Moines for many years, came back to Des Moines by chartered plane.

He had been hospitalized in Scottsdale. Last year he had undergone critical hear surgery, performed in Houston, Tex., by the famed Dr. Michael DeBakey.

Mrs. Dixon's funeral was scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday. An hour before the services, her husband died. It was quickly decided then that Mrs. Dixon's burial be delayed and the Dixons were buried together following his funeral on Monday.
