Charles Conlee

Funeral services were held Sunday, August 31, 1969 at 2 p.m. at the Milton Christian Church for Charles Conlee, 80, who died at the Shady Rest Nursing Home in Bonaparte Friday morning, August 29. The Rev. James D. McKean, pastor of the church, officiated. Interment was in the Sunnyside Cemetery. The Wellborn Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Conlee was born October 2, 1888, the son of George and Mary Graves Conlee. He married Chloe Hale on April 24, 1912. She preceded him in death October 5, 1937.

He was a member of the Milton Christian Church and the Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are one son, Hale Conlee of Milton; three daughters, Madge Strausbaugh of Burlington, Helen Bechtel of West Burlington and Louise Ritz of Fairfield; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.
